Dillon Harrell

I learned how to fish at a young age. When I was able to walk and hold a fishing rod, my fascination with catching fish began. At 8 years old, I was introduced to the sport of tournament Bass fishing. Since that day, I have been hooked on the competition and thrill that comes along with fishing a tournament.

My career in fishing began by participating in Junior BASS Nation tournaments with my uncle. This is where I got my first taste of victory in the 2006 Junior Bassmaster State Championship. Once that feeling hit, I have never wanted to be anything but a professional angler.

In 2011, my career took to the High School level. My school unfortunately did not have a team, so I started one my freshman year. I was very blessed to have many stories of success throughout my high school career, notching a win in a TBF National Open, an Angler of the Year title in the SETX High School Fishing Association, and finishing off being named 1 of 12 in the nation on the inaugural Bassmaster High School All-American Team.

I attended college at Sam Houston State University and earned a degree in Agricultural Business. College Fishing offered me the knowledge and diversity I needed to take the step in touring the country fishing for a living. I competed in tournaments from Maryland to California and from Texas to the Canadian border. Throughout my time in college, I qualified for two Bassmaster National Championships, Four MLF National Championships, notched a win in a MLF Regional Qualifier, won the 2017 College Bassmaster Classic, and had 8 Top 10 finishes.

I am blessed to have unmatched support from my family, friends and business partners. Looking forward, I am excited to watch my dream of fishing professionally become a reality in 2024 through the MLF Invitationals.
